Dye Day at Turtle Hill

Dora graciously invited members out to her farm in the beautiful Craven valley for a day of dyeing in her studio.  It was a wonderful day for travelling and a couple members headed out to Turtle Hill for the day, with a lot of yarn/wool and heads full of creativity and inspiration.

She has a great set up and everything we needed was available. 

We quickly got busy.  We had an abundance of natural dyes, gaywool dyes, mordants and pots.

So many cool results and such amazing colours!  (Unfortunately I didn't get a picture of Marjorie's marigold wool)

We ended the day with homemade pizza in Dora's outside pizza oven and relaxed with the frogs, while watching a storm roll across the valley.
